Our fun, age appropriate kids yoga classes blend music, cooperative games, breath-work and relaxation. We provide a safe and supportive environment where every child to feel comfortable.
 
Our philosophy is to concentrate on how a pose feels as opposed to what it looks like. However, healthier bodies will be the result of poses that stretch, strengthen, and build coordination. This combination of yoga and mindfulness teaches children techniques for self-health and relaxation. They will learn lifelong skills for dealing with stress and anxiety. 

Wear comfortable clothes and if you have a yoga mat, please bring it along.

Mindful Minis – Ages 3-6

Mindful Minis are fun and active classes with age appropriate themes. Animals, nature and other objects come alive as we stretch, play and breathe in new creative ways. Children need to bring their parent or favorite adult to these kid’s yoga classes. The age is a guideline for appropriate attention span.

Yogi Warriors – Ages 7-9

With this boisterous age group, we combine music, cooperative games, breath work and relaxation.

Kids Yoga Traverse City

We encourage these Yogi Warriors to focus on inward mindfulness, opposed to perfect poses. However, healthier bodies will be the result of poses that stretch, strengthen, and build coordination. Peaceful Tweens

Yoga can provide pre-teens with essential life tools such as self-esteem and confidence, inner and outer strength, attention and concentration. As a result they will have heightened awareness of both oneself and others. Different concepts such as trust, loving kindness, peace, and gratitude are incorporated into creative classes for this independent age group. We encourage respect for others along with a love for one’s self, inside and out.

Yogi Teens

Yoga and mindfulness classes give teens some much needed “down time”. Many of today’s teens feel constant stress, anxiety, and pressure to perform. Our Yogi Teens classes incorporate yoga and mindfulness in a relaxed environment. We focus on ways to calm and relax the mind and body with no pressure. It’s a perfect time for teens to “just be”.

Family Yoga

Family yoga classes integrate yoga and mindfulness for the family to enjoy together. This fun and lively class blends cooperative games, breath-work and relaxation while nurturing families and creating a safe space for connection and play. The class curriculum is designed for ages 4 – 11 but please don’t let age turn your family away from attending. If you have younger or older children and feel that your family would benefit from the experience, please join us!

Wear comfy clothes you can move in and bring mats if you have them.
